Ninja Gaiden modding has come a long way in the past couple of months largely due to the efforts of 1 person and minor assistance from others.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 has seen:

  • Enemy spawn increases
  • More mixed enemy encounters
  • Dynamic enemy spawns
  • Modified movesets
  • Modified AI
  • College delimb rates and adjustments to get in more reminscent of Ninja Gaiden ii
  • Reduced enemy impairment
  • Increased corpse despawn fourth dimension
  • Added essence requirement for Muramasa upgrades in the story fashion
  • Flower removal
  • Red mist
  • The removal of the always visible bow
  • And even two separate versions where one is more balanced and the other is "Insane" with cranked upward spawns and enemy assailment levels
Information technology's actually turned out quite fantastic and has certainly become its ain creature unique from Sigma 2 and the original Ninja Gaiden two.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Black
Bloom Removal - Hide Bow - Blood
Ninja Gaiden Sigma two Blackness Insane Edition

Razor'southward Edge recently received a mod with notable changes similar increasing ninpo meter gain, reducing enemy HP for most enemies, and modifiying some movesets. There's likely more changes that volition come with time since the work on Sigma 2 is mostly done outside of very minor bug fixes. It'due south already amazing how much a little change like reducing enemy HP and increasing ninpo meter gain help the catamenia of the game without compromising its style of action.

Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge Mod

UPDATE:
I've compiled all the mods he did for the game here. The "Insane" versions are the well-nigh up to appointment versions of the NGS2 Black Mods with the "Light Insane" version being an iteration or two behind and the regular "Insane" version being completely upward to date before everything was taken downward. The regular NGS2 Black version I take was like a week behind on iterations, but information technology should be fine every bit information technology's mainly missing some minor adjustments and bug fixes.

Download and install Cheat Engine, click the CT file to open it, and it should automobile-attach to the game process and plow on all the mods if information technology'south already running, at to the lowest degree for the NGS2 mods. If it doesn't automobile-attach for whatever reason, y'all can but manually select it to attach to the game and manually toggle on all the mods you desire. Should be the green and red flashing icon in the pinnacle left corner after opening the CT file.

For the Bloom Removal mod all you have to practice is get to your Steam directory where NGS2 is installed and replace the game'southward databin. I'd recommend creating a backup for your current databin if you lot supersede it, only in example you finish up preferring how the game looked before.

The ng3re changes sound like they were fabricated by people who wanted it to play exactly like the previous Xbox games and not like it's own thing. I'd attempt the Sigma 2 mod possibly but the re changes are eehhhhhhhh. Good thing information technology'd be optional.

i Never thought mods were banned links here.

simply I would also like to know, I was waiting for the inevitable ngs2 mods before ownership

Edited the OP to include links. Wasn't sure what the rules were on offsite mod links, but apparently they're okay and then I added them.
How do you feel that the mod compares to NG2? I absolutely adore NG2, non and then much NGS2.
It's different. It's not the same equally NG2 and it's not going to replace it, simply it does make information technology into a fun experience of its own with delimb adjustments that make it function very similar to how it does in NG2. Places where enemies don't spawn are still empty for example. That said, it does take more mixed enemy encounters than NG2 and the encounters in general are much larger than NG2. And it ends upward working out because of how flexible NG'southward essence organisation is. I kind of view it as NG2 remixed without most of the pain points that NG2 has in its entrada due to the Sigma ii alterations.

Razor's Edge is the mod creator's favorite of the bunch and he's a veteran of the series and Razor'due south Edge in particular, so I wouldn't worry nigh it. He understands the importance of retaining the importance of the longer strings and the way enemies dodge. I'd give it a shot before knocking it completely as it isn't actually as bad as information technology sounds on paper. Mainly but smooths the menstruation for enemies similar the alchemists and such. I was worried how it would feel besides earlier I really tried it, and so I understand the worry though.
Is in that location a mod for Sigma ane that gives it Black's design?
None however. There'southward a small modernistic that adds Blackness'southward backward roll or gives iframes to the backward handstand, merely that'south it. I don't think anyone is going to touch on Sigma ane significantly, honestly.

I've compiled all the mods he did for the game hither. The "Insane" versions are the most upwardly to date versions of the NGS2 Black Mods with the "Low-cal Insane" version being an iteration or two backside and the regular "Insane" version being completely upwards to date before everything was taken downward. The regular NGS2 Black version I take was like a calendar week backside on iterations, just it should exist fine as it's mainly missing some minor adjustments and bug fixes.

For the Flower Removal mod all yous take to do is go to your Steam directory where NGS2 is installed and replace the game'south databin. I'd recommend creating a backup for your current databin if yous replace information technology, just in example you lot stop up preferring how the game looked before.

Thank you. I'd suggest putting this into the original post for anyone who comes beyond it.

I wonder, is at that place anyone with plans from anyone to tweak the Tag Mission style in NGS2 and NG3RE? Personally, I retrieve the removal of a bad AI partner and tweaking the balance of the missions around that would really improve those.

Is there Kb&M support still?
No official back up unfortunately. I call back some folks have found success via controller emulators if the keyboard mapping configs on Nexus are annihilation to go by. Couldn't tell you much about them myself though.
